The trainees should have completed approved by the Bulgarian Maritime Administration basic safety training courses in accordance with Reg. VI/1 and section A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-2, А-VI/1-3, А-VI/1-4, of STCW 78, as amended. Additionally they should be medically fit, minimum 16 years of age and be duly certified if their position require that.
Before starting the course all trainees are briefed on course entry standards and documents check for compliance is carried out in accordance with the approved quality management system.
Trainees not in compliance with the entry standards could be accepted to the course but are not legible fot certification.

This course provides training for officers and ratings responsible for designated shipboard duties associated with the care, use or in emergency responce to the fuel on board ships subject to the IGF Code. The course includes basic safety and pollution prevention precautions and procedures on board ships subject to the IGF Code, type of fuels addressed by the IGF Code, fuel systems, hazards involved and emergency response. The course is based on mandatory training requirements for ship’s personnel accordance with Reg. V/3 para 5 and Code A- V/3 para 1, table V/3-1 of the STCW 78 as amended, the Directive 2008/106/EU and IMO Model Course 7.13 “Basic Training for Masters, Officers, Ratings and Other Personnel on Ships subject to the IGF Code”, 2019 Ed.as well.
