The course Basic Safety Training consists of four modules: Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities, Elementary First Aid, Personal Survival Techniques and Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting. The course is developed in compliance with Regulation VI/1 and Table A VI/1 of STCW' 78, as amended, as per Directive 2008/106/EC, IMO model courses 1.21, 1.13, 1.20 and 1.19 and the national maritime standards.
The training is approved by the Bulgarian Maritime Administration, which after training completion issues the relevant certificate, valid for 5 years.
Active trainees participation and successful passing theoretical written tests and practical exams is of high importance for successful course completion.
The course is carried out in approved specialized rooms at BMTC main building, on swimming pool and at the training site (survival at sea and fire fighting ground).
Final exams of each of modules are videorecorded as per BMA requirements.
The course is carried out in English - course fee: 996 BGN.
