Joining instruction
Candidates for training should possess Certificate of Competency at least as OOW or EOW qualified in accordance with chapter V of the STCW Regulations II/1, II/2, II/3, III/1, III/2, III/3.
The course is intended to provide knowledge on specific design, construction, equipment, operation, training, search and rescue and environmental protection matters relevant to ships operating in the inhospitable waters surrounding the two poles and to develop skillds on safety and environmental protection practice for those who serve as watch- keeping officers on board sailing in ice-covered waters.
