PROFICIENCY IN SURVIVAL CRAFT AND RESCUE BOATS, OTHER THAN FAST RESCUE BOATS

The trainees should have secondary education, to be at least 16 years of age, to be medically fit (attested by medical certificate). The trainees must have successfully completed the four courses for basic maritime training: “Survival Techniques”, “Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities”, “Fire prevention and fire fighting” and “Elementary First Aid”.

The course is mandatory for seafarers in charge of survival craft and rescue boat as defined in Appendix I of Reg.VI or as defined by the ship owner or the flag Administration.
The course includes the mandatory minimum requirements for training and issue of certificates according to Chapter VI, Section VI/2 p.1 and Table A-VI/2 para.1 of the STCW'78, as amended, Directive 2008/106/EC, IMO Model course 1.23 and the national maritime standard.
 Theory and practical training include acquiring knowledge and gaining skills for taking responsibilities for survival craft and rescue boat during launching while afloat and on recovery.
 
The training is approved by Bulgarian Maritime Administration.

The course can be carried out and in English - course fee: 770 BGN.
