Duration: 1 day, every Tuesday from 09:00 to 14:30 h

The GWO First Aid course is developed and licensed in accordance with the requirements of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) and is intended for individuals who work or are about to work in the wind industry, both in onshore and offshore environments.

The training provides theoretical and practical knowledge and skills necessary for:

• recognition of life-threatening conditions;
• assessment of the situation and safety at the scene of the incident;
• first aid for severe injuries, bleeding, fractures and burns;
• actions in case of unconsciousness, cardiac arrest and use of AED;
• first aid in difficult-to-reach environments and with limited resources;
• communication with emergency services and teamwork in the event of an incident.

The course is held in approved specialized facility in the Bulgarian Maritime Training Center's Practical Training range in Varna.

Entrance requirements and documents that participants must present: age not less than 18 years, identity document and registration with WINDA.GLOBALWINDSAFETY.ORG

On the day of the course, it is necessary to present an identity document.

Upon completion of the course, the trainees receive a digital certificate of successful completion of the course, issued by GWO (Global Wind Organisation), which is also entered in their WINDA profile.

The validity of the certificate issued by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) after successful completion of the course is 2 years.

The active participation of the trainees in the course and demonstration of the acquired skills during the practical exercises are conditions for completing the course and obtaining the relevant document.
