GWO Manual Handling Refresher

Duration: 3.5 hours, from 09:00 to 12:30 h
The GWO Manual Handling course has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the Global Wind Organization (GWO) and is intended for individuals who work or are about to work in the wind industry, both in onshore and offshore environments.
The course is held in approved specialized facility in the Bulgarian Maritime Training Center's Practical Training range in Varna.
The training provides theoretical and practical knowledge and skills aimed at:
recognizing the risks in manual handling of loads;
- preventing musculoskeletal injuries;
- correct techniques for lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling;
- working in awkward and confined spaces;
- applying the principles of dynamic risk assessment;
- using assistive devices and teamwork in manual handling.
Entry requirements and documents that course participants must present: age not less than 18 years, identity document and registration with WINDA.GLOBALWINDSAFETY.ORG
On the day of the course, an identity document must be presented.
Upon completing a course, participants receive a digital certificate of successful completion of the course, issued by GWO (Global Wind Organization), which is also entered in their WINDA profile.
The validity of the certificate issued by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) after successful completion of the course is 2 years.
Active participation of participants in the course and demonstration of acquired skills during practical exercises are conditions for completing the course and obtaining the relevant document.
