Duration and upcoming dates
The present course is intended for deck officers who are immediately responsible for the loading, unloading and care in transit of LNG cargoes, and who have worked on board LNG tankers as deck officers. The programme complies with the recommended requirements for training of ships officers – Table A- /1-2-2 of STCW Code and Regulation B I-12 para 71. The course comprises procedures of the LNG tanker operations and is held on dedicated tanker simulator.
The course is based on IMO Model Course 1.36 – “LNG Tanker Cargo and Ballast Handling Simulator” and the Directive 2022/993/ЕC, as well.
On successful completion of this course the officers will make a safer and more effective contribution to the operation and control of the cargo and ballast operation on a LNG tanker, which will improve ship safety and provide greater protection of the environment. The course incorporates all the requirements of the international conventions SOLAS, MARPOL and all amendments thereto
